Seiko Perpetual Calendar

Seiko Perpetual Calendar combines the beauty of the classic mechanical watch and the advantages of kinetic movement which delivers perpetual quartz accuracy.

Setting the stage for perpetual calendar watches, Seiko Perpetual Calendar is the embodiment of classical watch-making and modern microelectronics. Comprised of 232 parts. It makes use of the smallest ultra-sonic motor that efficiently provides energy for the mechanical gear trains that displays accurate date, day, and month (including February of leap years). It has a photo sensor that is responsible for maintaining the precision of the watch. The Seiko Perpetual calendar also makes use of the Seiko’s Kinetic Auto-Relay technology. A way of conserving energy when the timepiece is not in use while still maintaining correct dates and time.
