Dive watch

Dive watches. Watches are more than just an accessory; this fact has been proven by a number of various tool watches that are available in the market today. One of the most sought-after functional watches is the Dive watches. These are important timekeeping devices made specifically for divers to aid them in keeping track of their dive time and the volume of air in their tank, as well as many other useful functions.

Dive watches are designed for underwater use on an average depth of 100-300 meters (about 350 to 999ft for U.S metric system). Most have a water resistant band such as rubber or silicone. For example, the Citizen Promaster Diver has a polyurethane strap while the Seiko Prospex Divers has a silicone strap. The crystal on the face is usually dome-shaped to prevent shattering should it break. Most of the cases have a screw back and a screw down crown, as featured in the Citizen Promaster.

Dive watches also vary in power source and most light based watches require minimal sunlight to go a very long way. The Citizen Promaster Diver is fueled by light while Seiko Divers watches uses arm movement instead. Rechargeable power is very important as it will ensure a continuous supply of battery to provide a diver with crucial information at all times.
